Learn MoreThe District of Columbia Comprehensive Assessments of Progress in Education (DC CAPE) NEXT is the District’s general statewide assessment system which includes assessments in English language arts/literacy (DC ELA), mathematics (DC Math) and Science (DC Science). Together, these assessments create a comprehensive system that provides important information on students’ progress and proficiency relative to DC’s educational standards.
DC CAPE Next assessments are administered in these grades and courses:
DC CAPE Next assessments are computer-based assessments that allow for the use of a variety of innovative item types where students can apply critical-thinking skills to demonstrate their understanding of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Launchpad is the single sign-on authenticator that allows users to use one set of credentials to access multiple sites, like ADAM and Tools for Teachers.
